32 Card Draw Poker is a variant of 5 Card Draw Poker based on a stripped-deck. (Often referred as a French-deck where all the cards from 2 to 6 have been removed resulting in a 32cards deck). Playing with only top-half of the deck and the possibility to offer a split pot after you have drawn your cards creates an action-packed game with some extra bluffing options. If you are unfamiliar with this game be sure to check out 32 Card Draw Poker Rules as there are some very different rules to standard 5-Card Draw/Holdem. Number of players: From 2 to max 5 players.
Deck: Stripped deck - 32 cards from A to 7. (French deck)
Dealer: The deal moves clockwise between the players and the "dealers button" indicates who the dealer is.
Blinds: 32Card Draw Poker is played with the small and the big blind which have to be posted before any cards are dealt. Player left to the dealer posts the small blind and the next player posts the big blind.
Each player receives five cards face down. The player to the left of the big blind is first to act with the options to call, raise or fold. Action continues clockwise. When this first betting round is finished each of the remaining players is allowed to discard from 0 to 4 cards and to get equivalent number of new cards from the dealer. After the draw, the second (and the last) betting round starts from the first active player on the big blinds left side. This player also has an option to initiate "split feature". Action continues clockwise. If no more betting takes place it is time for the showdown. If there was betting after the draw the player who made the last bet or raise must show his hand first, otherwise the first remaining player after the big blind shows his hand first. The best 5 card hand wins the pot. Note: Automatic split of the pot is not possible as suits count. If two players hold the exact same hand the suit of the cards determines the winner.
Note: Aces can play for high or low so a straight (straight-flush) can be: A-7-8-9-10 (lowest) or 10-J-Q-K-A.
The first player to act after the draw has an option to initiate "split". If all the players in a pot chose to split the pot, the amount is divided equally amongst the active players in that pot.
